I have a Stetson 100 in the suitcase and with the plastic inserts. I found the Lounge while "googeling" to find out what this may be worth. According to my dad, it belonged to my great uncle. We found it in my Grandfathers attic when he died a couple of years ago and I am just getting around to doing something with it. My dad has no interest in it and neither do I. I have contacted a couple of western wear establishments in Atlanta, but none can help me with the value. I will post some pictures tonight, but in the meantime, can anyone give me the name of someone in Atlanta Georgia that may be able to help me?

It is a 7 1/8.

If I were to make a guess I'd say about $300 depending on the condition. It would be more if the size was a little larger or if it was in pristine condition. There are certainly loungers on this forum that are far more qualified to help than I am - just my two cents :)
Sorry but I don't know of any experts in Atlanta.

I am no expert but do live just north of Alpharetta & have owned 3 Stetson 100's = 1 I still & will always have, 1 I gave to my brother, & 1 I sold here on the Lounge.
The only real expert, & he will tell you he is, works at a western store up I-575 called Sacketts = http://www.sackettsonline.com
He used to own a hat shop on the square in Roswell before health issues forced him to semi-retire & he does hats at Sacketts.

Let me know if you head up there. I'd like to swing over & see your 100.

I think that's about right, more or less. If I had the money I'd make you an offer for it today. But you'll do well on E Bay.

I may be interested in buying it from you. Once you get a few more posts under your belt, send me a PM if you would like to discuss it.

Welcome aboard!

At size 7-1/8 I doubt it would get $300 on ebay. Probably more like $200 or less. However, I would put an insurance price of $300 on it. If it was a bigger size, it would go for more but not at 7-1/8. Over the last few months I have seen at least 2 Stetson 100s at 7-1/8 and one at 7 and none of them went for more than $200. I also saw a 100 case with the plastic and all it got was $109.

It also depends on the shape. Is the sweatband in good shape? Any stains or moth bites? Every bit wrong with it drive the price down farther.

I was figuring $100 for the case and $200 for the hat (in decent shape) for a total of about $300

You need to upload your photos to a image hosting site (Photobucket, Imageshack, etc..), then copy the IMG code and paste it into your post.

Looks to be in very nice, original shape. Not sure what is happening with the inserts in the last photo, but the crown goes down in the center, brim up, when being stored in the case. A case in nice shape has brought over $100 & this one looks nice. The hat itself could bring over $200 as earlier stated. I assume this doesn't fit anybody in the family & you are looking to move it???

No it doesn't fit anyone. When my G'dad passed away we found it in his attic. My dad thinks it was his uncles-he had a great name "Uncle Milton." A true classic!

Yes, Ill sell it.

gtdean48, if you are interested and we can work out a price, it's yours. I'm in Brookhaven and will be glad to meet you so you can take a look at it first. If your not, let me know so I can post it in the classified section.
