It looked just like the one I remember my dad wearing in the fifties before construction workers were required to wear hard hats, and I had been hoping to find something like that for a long time. I immediately ordered one. It arrived today, pretty fast service considering the company is in France. The shape of the crown reminds me of a Stetson Temple or Akubra Stylemaster, but the similarity ends there. This hat is made from some kind of fabric, maybe canvas. I'm hoping it will be a good travel hat, so I can stick it in my backpack as I fly and then pull it into some kind of decent shape when I reach my destinations. The cost isn't bad: With the Euro to dollar ratio and shipping from France to my front door, the cost to me was $70.
