I am going to buy a Field Leather Jacket, probably the Chicago style. Does anyone have experience with the leather types? Four are currently offered: Aniline Shinki Horse, Pigment Shiniki Horse, and 2 colors of Aniline Badalassi. My question is, are any of these significantly tougher than the others? My understanding is that Pigment Horse is tougher and a bit more water resistant than Aniline, but I'm not sure about that, and I have very little knowledge of the durability of the Badalassi. I am currently leaning towards the Pigment Horsehide. Any insight is greatly appreciated.
