    —————————————————

I recently picked up this beaut of a jacket. It really hits most of the marks for me except the fit is a little snug for my build, and more importantly the arms are maybe an inch too long for me to comfortably wear.

I’m testing the waters here after hearing back from Johnson Leathers about approx sleeve shortening cost ($160-185 depending on method). I’d be happy to move it on to someone here instead of dealing with the alterations, or heaven help me the water bath treatment to stretch the fit some folks are advising.

Aero Seven (Board Racer with August Collar) Size 40 Seal Vicenza Horsehide
    Lightweight Lochcarron Wool Tweed Lining
Dark Olive Cotton in Sleeves, Dark Olive Stitching

    Approx measurements see pics
    Chest: 21”
    Shoulders: 17.5”
    Length: 25”
Sleeve: 25” straight method, about 26.5” measured with string around curve (it was hard to get a pic of the string method)

Condition is nearly new. I got it second hand, however the jacket truly appeared to have not been worn by first owner. I found one small scuff to the mid back upon receiving it which seemed more like from storage or packing it for shipment. Other than that, any mild wear you see is from me trying it on around the house. No smells, dirt, stains etc.

    Asking $825 Shipped CONUS
Most likely willing to ship overseas but DM to discuss

nice jacket. thanks for the pics.
what's your jacket size and does the leather jacket fit true to it's size as tagged?
can you tell be your height and weight just for size comparison?
    thanks a bunch.

I’m 5’9” 170# and wear a 40R in most suit jackets and blazers. In dress shirts I wear 15.5 33, and mediums in casual stuff. My chest measures almost exactly 40”.

I would say it fits a slim 40, which is typical for the board racer style. Your best bet is to compare the measurements I’ve provided against a jacket that fits you well.

The leather is relatively lightweight and flexible, and the lining isn’t bulky so the measurements give a good idea of the fit.

As I said above, the arms and shoulders are slim for my build but still comfortable. However the sleeves are long for my preference. You can see where they land for me in the pics.

we have the same good taste.
after considerable practice in measuring the lengths of both arms, I'm afraid it is long for me as well.
    best of luck,
    Thanks.

My arm length was requested. Turns out it’s about 22.5” from end of shoulder to wrist.

Hi all, thanks for the interest. The jacket is no longer for sale.

I’ve decided to hang onto it and get the sleeves shortened after finding a better price for the work.
