Gelot hat -how would you describe it?

I have been asked by a family member to sell this very handsome Gelot hat. Unfortunately I know nothing about hats and have no idea how to describe it. I would be most grateful for information about the name of the hat style and when it was likely to have been made. I am new to this forum so I don't know if I am allowed to ask what its value might be. Thanks in advance for any help with my question.

It looks very round, with a upwards curved brim, do i detect stripes on it? Also you could describe the weight, feel of the material, photos of the inside and any labels would be good.
