I have a few pairs of gloves lying around - various colours, and nice to have a pair in each coat where possible. The warmest I've had are a cheap pair of sheepskin gloves; I also have a few pairs of leather. For casual wear, among the best I've found for price vs utility are the old British Army "Northern Ireland Gloves": I've seen some of these more recently with carbon knuckles, I guess for the mc look and/or (not sure if they are issued at all) useful in a ruck if needsbe. Mine are the old-style padded, and no political statement is made by their wearing! I'm old enough to remember seeing squaddies on patrol in Belfast wearing these. Cheap, basic, decent and warm. The knits help keep the draft out. Got a couple of pairs of MC gloves, Helstons (with no carbon knuckle plates or anything). Not unlike the old USAAF A3(?) gloves, though much warmer. For a long time during the pandemic I wore leather gloves everywhere, some cheap driving gloves so I didn't over heat. Now though I'm due getting out the Winter gloves.
