Who is the manufacturer? What are the durability and reliability differences between brass and aluminum as basis metals?

I personally like the brass zippers and sliders for durability. The zipper you have pictured is made by Lenzip Manufacturing Corp. in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. That's a little to the northwest of Chicago. They are still in business and probably make the same, or similar, zipper, slider and pull tab.
