I have a hat made by Gustav Nagel of 116 Kaiserstrasse, Karlsruhe, Germany in the late 1930's/ early 1940's, unfortunately, part of the maker mark printed on the hat's interior is missing (see attached ) photograph.
Can anyone kindly help me with the missing portion of the mark :-

Is it a hat or cap?

    It is a peaked cap.

I checked one of my directories but I didn't see them listed as a cap maker (you might look through entire listing).

I have some Deutsche Hutmacher-Zeitung (German Hat Maker News) on my site in the General Discussion section. Just search Deutsche Hutmacher-Zeitung.
