Hat lovers around the world are planning to participate in the first ever International Derby Day.

Well, it's true![huh]

Thanks to the international muscle of the Fedora Lounge, you derby, bowler and homburg wearers from around the world have expressed an interest in letting the public know that there are still these beautiful hats out there.

So this Friday, dust off that rolled brim beauty you've been saving for all these years and trot it out for all to see.

As we've been expressing, if you can't wear it to work, put it on Friday evening and go out on the town, to the movies, to the grocery store, to the corner inconvenience store to buy some beef jerky, moon pies and RC Cola! Whatever!lol

Just get the hats out there and let folks see them.

I had another collector contact me today to show me his "new" vintage grey derby

He's excited because it showed up in time for Friday's big send off

He now has four derbies, so he can switch off quarterly, because ... as we all know ... the First Friday of each month is INTERNATIONAL DERBY DAY

Derbies, homburgs, bowlers, gamblers, anything with a rolled brim

I was having coffee with a fellow hatter two days ago

He always wears derbies

I was wearing one of my favorite fedoras

I got up to help an elderly lady with a walker through the door

she asked if I was with the other man wearing the hat and then said how attractive it was

same coffee, a guy came up admiring his derby
