There is no Astoria, though they certainly could have extended the hotel joke.
Reviewing the press release on henson.com, the movie is being produced by "Henson Alternative, The Jim Henson Company's label for content created specifically and exclusively for adult audiences." I suppose that's probably the reason for the use of the term puppet, rather than Muppet, seeing as Grover is apparently in the movie as well.
A little more fun:
