Has Anyone Seen a Schott N-3B Parka?

They are made in China. Are they as good as any of the others? Any better?

I have a civilian Alpha CWU-45P, made in China. It compares very favorably with my mil spec, military issue CWU-45P. Haven't seen the Schott version.

Do N-3B parkas run large? If I wear a 44L suit coat, would a large fit?

I haven't handled a Schott, but I got my son an Alpha N3-B a couple of years ago, and it would appear that the Alphas, at least, run a little large.

Long ago (1969-1978) I had a couple of N-3Bs that got me through high school and college in frigid upstate NY. Outstanding, very functional garments. The new Alpha isn't nearly as nicely made as the ones I had back then (alas, I don't recall who made them, they were both Army-Navy store purchases), but it still seems to have the requisite classic features, and is very warm. Chances are that the modern Schott and Alpha N3-Bs are pretty similar. I see US Wings has some black Schotts for a great closeout price:

Are N-3B parkas water proof/repellent? I have imagined them so, being they must be for blizzard conditions?

Yes. Very water-resistant: they will shed alot of water before it starts to soak in. But they may eventually soak through if you are out in drenching rain long enough, especially the less-than milspec ones, e.g., Rothco/UltraForce.
