Hat Sizing

I was wondering how far up can you ahve a hat blocked without ruining it, or does it depend on the hat.

I have a Steson Temple that I need blocked up form a 7-1/2 to 7-5/8 and was wondering if this possible?

Also who do you suggest that can do this.

Hi Lance,
I try not to go more than one size. You can do more but either you thin out the felt too much or reduce the crown height, both can ruin a hat. What size is it now?

7-1/2

It's a 7-1/2 I just need to have it bumped up to a 7-5/8.

Either my head grew or the hat shrunk because it fit about 2 years ago.

No sweat!! you might want to try buying a stretcher and doing a small ( I mean SMALL) stretch, try the hat, then another small stretch, etc till it fits well.
If that fails you can always send it out to be reblocked.
