Hatless - yes those pics exist.

Here is a pic with one of our Port. Water Dogs (Beatrice).

Late edit: My wife was reading over my shoulder and said I should include our other dog. Here is a hatless pic of Beatrice and Horatio.

I did have a full head of hair earlier.

(The shorter guy is me. Taller guy is my Grandfather.)

Yes sir you are right. My Grandmother could not recall that hat specifically, but did say that he was very pleased with a Stetson and a Knox hat purchased on a trip to the big city of St.Paul. The pics I have show all his hats having Whippet-esque dimensions. He was an immigrant small business owner and would not have spent a lot of money on a hat.

Hope everyone has enjoyed a great Christmas Day. Last night we had a very nice meal at our local Capital Grill. I'm not usually a fan of chain steak joints, but the CG in Fort Worth is very good.

What a wonderful photo! Your hairstyle, minimal makeup, and blouse are timeless, and combined with the faded colors it could be difficult to determine if this was taken last week, in the 1940s, or any time in between if we didn't know you. Truly a lovely portrait!
