Ok, it's old news, but in researching one of my hats, I came across this article from 1972 in the NY Times about the state of Borsalino. It is interesting that it took the 1970 movie to get Italians to care about their hats. Up to then they seemingly preferred lesser quality Stetson or other imported hats and the famous Radiconcini shop kept the Borsalino hats to sell to Americans who wanted them.
