I heard that he died at lunch. RIP Mr. Brubeck. Take 5 is a classic.

I've loved his music for decades, and saw him in concert once, back around 1980 - outdoors on the South Street Seaport pier, with Herbie Mann also on the bill. A great show!

I just threw on one of my old Brubeck LPs...
