Looks to be a 1970s or 80s hat. It’s worth what someone would pay for it, but I would not expect that anyone would pay more than 80ish USD if they knew better (and probably more likely in the $50-60 range). But you’ll see eBay sellers pricing that kind upward to $150 sometimes. Whether they sell or not, I couldn’t tell you.

It’s most likely made of hare or rabbit (or a mix , no one really knows but probably not any beaver). The sweatband is probably stitched in using polyester twine (as is probably the ribbon) and the liner is probably glued in (instead of stitched in like older hats).

I have a 10X from that era and it feels quite durable to me - they just aren’t highly prized by collectors and I never wear mine but only because the brim is so big. The felt from that era just wasn’t very exciting to most collectors, but I have a 7X from that period that I do wear so totally just personal choice.

It looks good on you and you look happy with it. That’s what really counts. And honestly, to me those hats feel pretty durable though I’ve never put either my 7x or 10x to the test so I really don’t know.

Thanks for the fast answere :)

The really worth is for me that's an used hat...maybe sounds funny for someone.
For me the money worth isnt important that much, because i would rather like the story behind ....

The seller told me that she had the hat from someone from Hollywood, a make up artist. But she dont really know if it was some famous.

Doesn't matter....i like the hat and i'm really happy... it fits and like you said...the hat is durable :)

Cool for any Country Festival or some party ;))
