Hello I would like to know what era this dress falls in

Its taffeta material with a very bold deco chevron

The zipper up the front was prominent in the 30s but I suggest the dress being post 47 new look

I'd say your date in your Etsy shop of late 40s or early 50s is about right.

The first thing that popped into my head was, "Shouldn't you be dating people?" LOL

Is the waist dropped or is that just the way it's hanging?

I concur with late '40s / early '50s. It shows a lot of Dior New Look influence in the raglan shoulder and the full skirt, and maybe the 3/4 length sleeves.
