    Hello.

I am now the owner of this a little over the top but awesome winter jacket. I have no idea what it is but it fits, is warm and looks awesome. Can anyone help identify this jacket? Hide, fur, style, etc.

The only history I have is it was purchased from the trunk of a native gentleman’s car in the mid 80s in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada. 80C16939-2FC6-471E-A4EC-E20118BB77CF.jpeg 862C5AD8-5AD3-4D5B-8C36-4ADB980B4DB6.jpeg 12069471-7B69-4360-959C-B6FF9E1A9E8E.jpeg 5DF213FB-6C34-4FC8-AE32-45CA2641F775.jpeg 2B907D12-5651-4FBA-96EB-D9B2A73606A0.jpeg

Awesome winter coat. If custom-made by Native Canadians it could be hard to trace the maker.

I think you’re right about finding the maker, will be next to impossible but you never know. I’m more interested in what it’s made of. I have no idea what the hide or fur is. For curiosity sake I’d love to know.

Shearling rancher style coat. Made by various makers. Very masculine, often worn by the Marlboro Man. Handy in Montana and North Dakota.

If yours has tags that should help identify it.
