Help With WWII German Hartmann Jacket

Hi all,

Can someone help with this jacket. It's a private purchase jacket from the 40s, but can anyone tell if the badge is original or a reproduction added later?

That badge appears to be kind of a fantasy gimmick to me.

Loose that loathsome symbol/badge and it's looks like a really nice jacket.

You should at least not wear it in Germany that way.
If you’re lucky it’s just the police to pick you up first and place a nice, expensive criminal complaint.
If you’re less lucky you might end up with a nice, painful stay in hospital for a few weeks…
