Some time back a Lounger was bemoaning the fact that French Army Mle.48 boots were difficult to find in the US.
I've just got a new old stock pair on French eBay for 10 Euros (about $10). Just search Militaria for "Rangers".
After I'd bought mine, I looked on www.leboncoin.fr and found many more at anything between 10 and 50 Euros. Again, search "Rangers" in Toutes Categories. "Rangers Cuir Marron" brings up rough-outs but it's worth wading through all the modern black ones that come up on simply searching "Rangers" because some of the ways French people describe them in the ads are rather weird !
The terms "jamais porte" and "neuve" are generally used to describe the NOS pairs.
