hey...newbie question about my face type for a hat

Hopefully this picture on my profile is enough...but anyway, as you can see I have a very large head (7 7/8) and wide-as-all-hell shoulders. I noticed a porkpie looks pretty good on me. At the moment I have one with a good-sized curled brim (1 7/8) and a pretty short crown height (3 7/8) and while it looks pretty darn good, I'm still not sure if this is the most flattering casual hat for me. However, I'll not be heartbroken if it isn't since it's just a 30 dollar wool hat (not taking the plunge on a fur or beaver hat until I'm SURE it's a perfect match).

Maybe a porkpie would still work but with a different brim...anyway, any suggestions would be great. My local hatter hasn't really told me anything as detailed as I'd like.

I'll add that you have the sort of jawline and build that can wear a wide variety of hats, especially those tall, straight-sided fedoras we love so much around here, and you probably have more brim-width playing room than a lot of other people.

Get out there and try some stuff on.
