Thanks for the link! Interesting as always. I would love to see his collection. I've heard him talk about it in another interview.

Check out his new Shinki Suede jacket. Wow!

Yes, that is the podcast I had heard. Very interesting. Ken Calder mentioned the same process in an email. He was tuned in long ago.

I move, Counselor, to redirect this motion to a jurisdiction not bound to Himel jackets.

I'll send the motion to where it should be. Not sure why he posted in this thread.

Such passionate enthusiasts are like a whole universe each. Love it. What to say of Dave's jackets - it's not only outerwear but true leather art.

I think that moose hide on the site sold in 2 days, maybe 3 tops.

This is the one that originally got my attention: https://www.instagram.com/p/BuXrq1SHJWl/

Once you see and feel the moosehide in person, it's so damn pliable, soft, and comfortable.

I'm trying to imagine a jacket made out of 4 or 4.5oz of this stuff.

Just out of curiosity, red devil, how much does your 5oz jacket weigh?

I know the weight of the jacket isn't always the best way of measuring how robust it is, but I imagine if 3 or 3.5oz is around 5-6lbs, 5oz is what? Closer to 10lbs?

That's not as heavy as I was imagining, but probably still a very substantial jacket.
