Hotch's suits on Criminal Minds

I'm guessing the suits Thomas Gibson's outfitted with as SSA Aaron Hotchner on Criminal Minds are a bit more modern than FL's usual focus, but I figured I'd look to the sharpest-eyed sartorial specialists I know for insight. Other than "conservative, Generic Fed, probably an off-the-rack" what other details stand out? Anything else particularly noteworthy, or just a Men's Wearhouse cookie-cutter?

His suits seem pretty cookie-cutter to me.

As you can see in this pic, they're not particularly well-tailored (see the break in his pants)

I suspect what's accounting for the 'put together' aspect of his look frequently is about some other things.

1. His slender build
2. His shirts are well fitted and nice
3. His ties are never too long

The fabric of the first suit is of decent quality. So is the shirt and tie. He must be from D.C. if he's not wearing polyester!

Isn't that what you would expect? His character has to buy multiple suits, on a public servant salary. He's not going to be buying Seville Row. He has to look good, but the suit has to be 'expendable.' You may have to roll around with a bad guy.

As a side note. I wonder if there is a tailor, "Inside the Beltway," recommended by word of mouth from senior agent to the "new guys" (Decent basic suit, reasonable cost, and maybe a "Q-Branch" feature or two) Del Floria's maybe? No, that was in NYC.
