The Finnish Broadcasting Company's Living Archive service offers a rather interesting insight on how radio receivers were made by hand before the advent of the transistor radios. The film follows the birth of the receivers from the first metal frames to the last tune up. The narration is in Finnish, but one should have no problem following the "story" even without knowledge of the language. The factory in the film belongs to the Helkama Corporation.
