How to determine age of Frock Coat Suit ?

I have a three piece Prince Albert suit in black material. The lapels have a silk facing on them.
All pieces are in matching black material.
I am trying to determine the age of this suit. They seem to have been most popular from the
1890's to the early 1920's but how are there stylistic signs that can help you determine a more precise date?

That Frock suit looks like it is from around 1880 judging from the cut of the waistcoat and details in trousers and coat. also check the buckle on the back of the waistcoat, often they have a date stamped on them to give reference.
That's an amazing suit by the way! I have never seen one with so many interesting details like the waistcoat's backing fabric and the re-enforced cinch on the trousers. where did u get it? if u don't mind my asking
