IJ lookalike hat

All of this talk of the new Indiana Jones movie inspired me. Take an unused $10 wool hat, add a new ribbon, steam/shape for 30 minutes and you get a very convincing Indiana Jones lookalike.

Where did you get the new ribbon? I've been searching for cotton content ribbon. I can't get a proper fit with 100% polyester. Great job on your hat!

I just bought a roll of ribbon at a local fabric shop and then crafted a new ribbon and bow out of it. It took some time to do but I like the results.

I gave it a few evenly spaced stitches along the bottom of the ribbon to hold it down. They go all the way around but there are only four or five of them, just like vintage hats.
