I don't know if you're already familiar with this magazine, but the latest issue, #16, is a great one. It covers James Bama and Charles Showalter in depth. If you like the Ballantine Doc Savage covers or the Coca Cola ads that ran through the fifties, this issue is for you. Lots of great stuff and even some of Showalter's pin ups. Even the ads are a Golden Era lover's delight.

I found a copy after hunting at a few newstands.
I prefer the pulp version of Doc Savage but Illustration magazine always does a nice job.
Bama's original painting of Doc on the cover (and page 5) is iconic.
Funny thing is someone is someone is auctioning off this issue in "brand new newstand condition".lol Just like I got it today!
