Hi guys, I am a new member learning how to post message. I recently posted a message asking about a fake repo B3 listed on Ebay Item number: 190607932025. Seller described the jacket as RAF type but the design and its label resemble USAF jacket. Is this a “real” repo made by Schott or a fake repo made by sweatshop in Thailand? Thanks,

Looks like a genuine American made Schott. It does not look like any AAF or USAF jacket I've seen so I imagine they modeled it after an RAF jacket. While I can't comment on how authentic it is I can tell you that Schott is not known for making exact reproductions. They do make quality coats nonetheless.

Come to think of it. They might have went for a B-3 look but they put the RAF tag in there to prevent people from expecting an exact reproduction.

The jacket in question sold for $199 on Ebay. It is not a fake repro made outside the USA, simply a repro by Schott. It is not the most accurate of repros, but unlike many has the single map pocket and reinforced sleeves.
