Has anyone seen the lawless movie? How was it?

I thought it was pretty good. I read the book after I seen the movie last summer, and enjoyed it very much. The movie does differ somewhat from the book. I don't think you will be disappointed in the movie.

Yeah it was OK......................strong characters, interesting hats & uncomprimising violence......& of course well filmed. More of a western than a gangster movie which isn't a bad thing. I liked Hillcoat's 'The Road' & 'The Proposition' too. I'll definately be looking out for his future films.

Haven't read the book, so i approached it on the basis that it's a true story, because if it wasn't, it would be very average storytelling, having said that, the mis-en-scene is pretty good, and music and costumes very clever.

Saw it on Monday, on a plane on the way home from a work trip. Good fun. Appeeciated the anti heroes, enjoyed the lack of faux moralising on their lawbreaking.
