Is it just my delusion or is this grey striped race the most relaxed cat race of all? We have many of them in old Germany and they are always the most thankful, relaxed fondle consumers. I think, it's european shorthair.

When you have to say farewell to a beloved pet, it's never easy. The fact is you feel bereaved, how can you not?
We received through the mail today, a most unexpected greeting card from our vet. All the staff had signed it, there was a tribute poem inside which I will share in case anyone is mourning the loss of a treasured pet. It made my wife I, both smile and weep.

Over the holidays we did discover that Bear Scout has a face under all that fuzz.
My wife is not ready to have her fully clipped yet, but I wonder what she is going to look like.

Every time she farts now, it smells like a Starbucks in November.
This is the late Sandy. The second photo was taken on his last day, about a month ago.
Sandy had numerous health problems — orthopedic, neurological, renal — and had been in decline for well over a year. But he wasn’t in pain, and I figured that for as long as his vote would be to stick around, I would honor that. I took his eventual refusal to take food and water as a vote to the contrary.
I loved him. I’m not at all embarrassed to acknowledge that I still cry over losing him.

And no shame in shedding some tears for your friend. Seven years down the road and I’m still missing my girl.
How old was she?
About the same. He was allegedly 2 or 3 when we got him from the shelter, but he might have been more like 4 or 5. That was in spring of 2012.
