Any opinion on this jacket on ebay.de right now?

The guy "sold it" already two times, but its still on the bay. Good or not?

Many thanks in advance

I am not an expert, but it's hard to say.

Their jackets were usually far shorter, like the Lewis Leathers Dominator or Corsair, or the Eastman. Also i don't remember ever seeing one with shoulder gussets.
To me this looks more like a work coat.
On the other hand, the stitching holes above the chest pocket clearly have the shape of the eagle standing on the ********... But was it done during the war? Or is it just a random patch with the same shape.

Considering the fact that german pilotes were allowed to buy their own leather jacket as long as it followed a set of guidelines, this could be the real thing, or it could be a random work coat...

Just found this:

http://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/a-short-guide-to-luftwaffe-flight-jackets.58845/

It shows one somewhat similar jacket...

Many thanks.
nice thread, love it.
The jacket coat on the bay does not look good comparing the the original photos. The ri-ri zipper is a very modern one.
many thanks again
