Me & George Eastman sportin' fedoras

I work at the Univ. of Rochester Medical Center and this past weekend, they unveiled a statue of George Eastman (of Eastman Kodak fame) to honor his contributions to the University. Surprisingly he's sporting a fedora (it does get cold in Rochester :) ) so it looks like there are now two people on campus sportin' lids

They even made shirts to commemorate the event, I wasn't able to get one, but I never realized that the fedora was so closely associated with George....

here's a link to the entire story...

upon further googling, I guess George Eastman was a purveyor of fine hats...

That's some great info Rob!...I'd like one of those shirts as well!
To bad we don't have little conveniences like those under-chair hat holders anymore. Though they would probably be destroyed by today's angry yoots anyway...
