I love taking something seemingly tattered and torn, and bringing out its full potential... recently got this knox on ebay for a couple of bucks, and it arrived pretty dismal. Its crease made the term 'bash' sound appropriate. 'crushed' might be more accurate, and there was enough dust you could scrape it off with a spoon. the hat underneath however, looked to have great potential...
spent some time steaming and smoothing it out to an open crown, and some elbow grease cleaning it up, and it turned out to be a real beauty! what do you guys think, late 50's early 60's?
unfortunately for me, it's a bit too snug for my noggin, so it'll be going back up on ebay :/
Thought I'd share the before and after! one more vintage hat brought back to life
