    Details:
This is a test jacket for our new Cafe Racer, the Stumptown Racer. The jacket has very nice full aniline Steer hide. Soft and thick. Grainy. Truly outstanding hide. There are a few crease lines on the back and minor ones on the front. These will loosen and blend in with wear. The zipper is a high quality Talon USA reproduction, not a counterfeit one found on a lot of bargain jackets these days. There was an error in production and the zipper was flipped when resizing it, so it is right insert (Euro Style). Not a big deal when you get used to it. This will be corrected moving forward on the production jackets.

The hide is 1.4 - 1.5 mm Thickness. It is deep drum dyed with the back being just as dark as the front side.

Total Jacket weight is 3 Lbs 8 1/2 oz

Thanks! I am excited about this new jacket model. This Full Aniline Steer is a beautiful hide. We also have this hide in black, as well as a very nice Semi-Aniline Russet. This model will be available on the website for purchase very soon in sizes 36-48.

Jay. You're like the devil. Always a size 40 to tempt me. At least your price is more reasonable than Lucifer's.

Hi, is that chest pocket zipper like that or is it broken? (looks like a ball chain loop one, can’t see it well on the pic, honest question).

Also, would you ship international and how much? (Australia)

Just a quick technical question if you don't mind.
I have noticed that all three jackets you have posted in the classifieds have this characteristic tightening of the stitch on either side of the main zipper. It is something i often see on some other makers jackets usually just before jumping a thick folded seam. It makes me think of the quick stepping long jumpers do just before taking their final impulsion.
What is the technical reason for this change in stitch spacing? Is it a setting in the machine? Is it a user thing where you just slow down before a more technical bit and the stitching tightens?
Why is it hapening at that specific area for it to be visible in all three jackets?

Not sure but I only see it on this one jacket. I can ask my guys in production. I don't see a problem with the strength of the stitching and you can have little variances in stitch spacing depending on the changing thickness of the leather. This is a small thing that I think can easily be corrected in the future. On a test jacket I am selling for less than 1/2 price, I think it is not a big deal at all.

The zip chain is not broken. That is a Clix lanyard type chain that we used on a few of our test jackets. We now are using the Talon marked chains. You can get aftermarket ones on ebay that crimp on. A possibility if you don't like the type that is on there.

Yes I will send this internationally. I will PM you the cost to Aus.

I was in now way complaining about the quality or the price of the jacket, it's just something i have noticed on many jackets done by many different people and i was wondering if you knew the reason why it happened.
It's curriosity on my part, not trying to crap on your work, sorry if it sounded that way.

No worries, I didn't take it that way. I will meet with the guys and discuss this variance. I will let you know what the outcome is.
