New Guys Hats

Hello All-

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Here are pics of my hats from left to right.

First is a modern Stetson Carson I got on OFAS for $30.

Second is a 20x straw cowboy hat I got on OFAS for $25

Third is a beautiful Kevin McAndrew "Beaver Twenty" in light gray. I picked that one up at an antique store for $25.

Next is a Resistol 5x beaver OR clone. I kept the cattleman's crease; it is my "dress-up" hat

Last but certainly best is another Resistol RD clone. It is a darker tan and I had it worked over by Gus Miller @ Batsakes; he stretched it and put a fedora crease in it. It is my current favorite.

Gus...

Man I love to hear about Gus. I bought my first real hat from Gus back in the early 90's. it was such a neat experience. I still remember him putting my initials in the hat and saying, " two great guys standing side by side" I'm sure he says it to a lot, if not all, of his customers, but it made for a great experience anyway.

I'm headed back home in March, maybe I'll try to stop by and see him again. I've been wanting a silver fedora...
