Well I want one, but, I have no idea where I would actually wear it. Reminds of a hat Tom Petty wore in a music video.

Just arrived today. I saw this ribbon on a Portis and wanted it. So I worked a deal on the 50s Portis and had Mike Miller swap out the ribbon. He replaced the ribbon with a black vintage grosgrain. I promptly sold the Portis and had this hat made.

Tonak Rabbit Heather in light grey.
Brim: 2 3/4" with two rows of accents.
Crown: 5 3/4" open, 4 5/8" front, 4" back as bashed.
Ribbon is 1 1/2" stripped grosgrain grey with black stripes.

It arrived just in time to put away until fall!

Beautiful, Bill. I wish his Tonak bodies were big enough for me but Mike has told me he can’t make me what I’m after using them. The ribbon on your hat is fantastic too.

I just received a big stock order of the Tonak felts and they are all on the small side. Too bad as they are such nice felts.

Went to the theater last night to see some friends in the play "Matilda". Trotted out the Aubergine Longhair, which was modeled after an image on the webs, 1890s style. I need to get down to to see Mike, a tall crown stiff felt is in my sights.

Very good to see you posting, Mike. Hope all is well. That aubergine homburg style hat is fabulous in all its shiny glory! I like the wider brim more than the one its inspiration had (it's Luke Evans in The Alienist).
