If I recall, MacLachlan was billed as “The world’s largest maker of $50 and $100 hats.” It was a common opinion of hat retailers that MacLachlan made the very best felts in the industry in their heyday.

Go get ‘em!

I had read about retailers' opinion of MacLachlan felts before, and I cannot imagine a felt being much better than mine. I put it in my "Ten Best" hat list.
It still will be, even after I revise the list with my latest acquisitions.
