I don't think they had a specific name for it, but you can see the style similarity in the various vintage Resistols. Keep in mind that what Stetson calls the Open Road (the one we are most familiar with today), it's look had been around a long time before Stetson started marketing it as the Open Road.

I have a "Resistol 100 Kings 50" that is
basically a very fine, thin, stiff, light grey Open Road from
the 50s or perhaps early 60s. The odd name seems
to come from the fact that they called it a "100" but,
contrary to tradition, sold it for $50 (the tag is still
inside). The leather sweat says it's a 100 but the liner
says Kings 50. Odd bit of marketing. Well made hat, though.

I've seen examples of the Resistol Open Road-like lid with the model name "San Antonio" stamped on the sweatbands. A couple I've spotted of late (one belonging to a fellow patron of a local greasy spoon, and the other in a junktique shop) both sported wind strings. In both cases, the wind string buttons were a bit smaller than the buttons on the old Open Roads.

Stetson OR versus Resistol San Antonio
Here are my two versions. One a Stetson OR and the other, what I believe to be, a Resistol San Antonio.
Top: Resistol San Antonio
Bottom: Stetson OR
There is only a subtle difference in the Cattleman's crease

Great comments! and photos of the OR and RES ...I would be hard pressed to tell them apart. The crease could even be atributed to time....or the person setting it in the machine.
