These pictures really cannot convey how cool this hat really is. That and I am probably the worst model possible. lol
The finish is incredible. I have bragged about Art's handiwork before but let me tell you---he is getting better all the time. The finish reminds me of the Kashmir/ kitten finish of the golden era. The felt is smooth and supple. The ribbon and bound edge are perfection. The stitches on the bound edge are nice and even. The binding sticks to the hat like glue no matter what way I flip the brim. The ribbon is sewed on with an invisible stitch that defies you to point out where it is attached.
All in all I was nearly speechless when I saw it. The workmanship is on par with vintage and that I am sure of. The color is more accurately portrayed in the first photo. It came with a certificate of authentication and a vintage style card to place inside the hat under the sweatband so you know it is your hat for sure.
Even the secretary had to check it out today when I walked in the door. Bravo Art. Another fine hat. The master keeps getting more masterful. If you don't have one of these in your corral then you are really missing out on something. :eusa_clap :cheers1: :fedora:
Regards to all,
