The camera's eye
Does not lie,
But it cannot show
The life within,
The life of a runner,
Of yours or mine,
That race which is neither
Fast nor slow,
For nothing can ever
Happen twice,
That story which moves
Like music when
Begotten notes
New notes beget,
Making the flowing
Of Time a growing,
Till what it could be
At last it is,
Where Fate is Freedom,
Grace and Surprise.

There's a good man. The poetry thread seems to have disappeared. If we must (and I fear we truly must) contain to the Golden Era, perhaps we can have this thread focus on Golden Era poets. Auden, of course, was a Golden Era poet.

Here's a link - documentaries online, free of charge - and all of them about GOLDEN ERA poets.

The poetry thread isn't really right for the Lounge. Sorry.
We're keeping things at least somewhat vintage related.
Thanks for your understanding.
I am sure there are hundreds of poetry forums out on the Lounge.
