(possibly) The finest maker of Milan in the world

Met this guy at a department store in Tokyo...he sells to French designers for their collections...he seems to be recognised as producing the finest Milans using raw materials from the Phillippines...scoffed at my offer of $200 for a fine unblocked hat body. Seems he sells to french designers for $1000 upwards.

I tried to convince him, but he frankly admitted he had been approached by many hat makers, and did not have the time to meet demand. Very nice guy, but just told me he was picking the highest bidders. Nice to know in these hard economic times that there are some businesses that can turn away any offers for business...anyone want to become a milan hat body supplier!!??

I looked at a couple of prices on his domestic produced hats. The highest one I could see was 12,600 yen for a milan trilby like hat...

Funny thing that only people who have lived in japan will get. They mention that Japan has "4 seasons which is very peculiar"
