Rabbit fur felt, 7 1/8", goat leather sweatband. Hand stitched assembly (can't afford a good sewing machines). Crown height 6,4 inch, intended to make a tall bowler. Fits very comfortably. Anything else, ask away!...oh..made in Sweden :)

I like the way yout blocked the crown. Who manufactured the hat body?

This one is Winchester, TN. Love the feel and the weight of their felt.

Thanks. Winchester rabbit. What does Winchester call that color? Rust?

  5. I'm 99% certain the Campdraft in Bluegrass Green is exclusive to Everything Australian; I don't think it's available in the Deluxe/Heritage Quality felt.

Thanks. I was starting to think that way after searching the web. After I hear about people having return issues with EA, I am not sure I will order from them. I am still thinking it over.

Camel color, due to light it looks a bit darker.

Not a NEW hat. But a new find! Had showed my great-grandfathers Dobbs before. Found in a closet few years ago. Now recently discovered a photo of him actually wearing this same hat. William E. (Pop) Simonton always dressed to look his best. After retiring as a freight agent from the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, this was probably the last hat he ever purchased. From Sterns Brothers Dept Store in Parkersburg, WV.

Scored 3 nice Knoxes and 6 hat boxes from an estate sale Saturday for next to nothing.

No tip protector, sweat barrier behind the band. Haven't looked for any hidden tags.

As usual, any clues to age or where it fit on the quality hierarchy are much appreciated.
