Props to Brad Bowers for his sweat band installation tutorial

I'm in the process of rehabing a late 50s/early 60s cocoanut palm Dobbs, which featured my first sweatband replacement.

I bought the replacement band from this Etsy vendor, sized to 7 3/8 and trimmed to 1.75" wide.

But it was the excellent step by step write up by Brad that made it pretty easy to get good results.

I didn't want t resurrect an old thread, but it can be found HERE .

My first attempt did not turn out too great, but I know where I went wrong and what to do next time. Still, it's good enough to use.

Congrats, that looks like a good start

Btw, don't be afraid to resurrect old threads. TFL is packed with old threads, containing lots of very useful information. Resurrecting old threads is our only way to keep them alive - and it takes away some of the thread-merging work from the shoulders of our already burdened bartenders
