Helllo friends,

in the last years I went from a black loving guy to a brown loving guy. Only one black leather jacket is left. In the morning I choose mostly a brown belt and brown shoes.

A few month ago I decided to buy a new pair of black shoes. My plan was a pair that is wearable with jeans and also with a suit. After some discussion with my friend Jan I ordered a pair of R.M. Williams Yearling boots.
I have read in another tread that some people are not pleased with these boots. My opion is different: Very well done, top leather and really comfortable.

First thing I do with new welted shoes is to protect the leather sole with a thin rubber sole. So the rubber sole is not original.

See some pictures:

RM Williams make a great boot. I have a pair of the Craftsman in dark brown (chestnut). I wear mine with everything from denim to sportcoats.

You'll probably never want to buy another make of boots again now.

Enjoy your RMs, they'll fit your feet like gloves after a few wears.

My cobbler just resoled a pair of mine and said they're good for another 40 years at least!

Well done on your choice, you won't regret it.
