Here's a rare find: a 1950s suede windbreaker by the Lawrence Company of Peabody, Mass. The company made high-quality jackets--I have two others in horsehide that are as well made as anything from that period.

A very nice lightweight yet substantial option for a crisp fall day.

This jacket is in as close to mint condition that you will find on a vintage jacket. No stains, tears or holes in the leather or lining. The hand warmer pockets are cotton-lined and intact with no holes. The Talon zipper works perfectly. No holes in the wool knits along the sides.

Note the capeskin leather on the jacket interior along the sides of the zipper.

No size tag, but fits like a 40/42.

Measurements
Chest: 22"
Shoulders: 18.5"
Sleeve along the curve: 24.5"
Length from bottom of collar: 24"

Asking $70 + shipping, which is exactly what I paid for it.

BUMP. Lovely vintage suede. Perfect for fall. Comfort factor is 10. Processed with DuPont Quilon, too. Mint condition--even the locker loop is intact. Ready to wear at a very reasonable price.

Newspaper ad from Oct. 1955, the approximate time frame of this near mint jacket. The waistband is not adjustable on the jacket listed.
