Ribbon cleaning?

Hi all,
I read every post on 'cleaning' but need some specific advice as to removing stains from a ribbon for a straw hat. Any thoughts? Joann fabrics was one suggestion. It's a nifty 4-color ribbon w/ the fancy little hooks on each end, not sewn to the hat. My other thought is to reuse the hooks and get a new ribbon.
Thanks.

Hey Tarheel

and greeting from the other side of the mountains. Woolite seems to be the cleaner of choice for H20 based stains. Beyond that you have the solvent trinity; denatured alcohol, naphtha & white gas for oil based stains... lotsa luck & let us know how you fare. Oh & welcome to the lounge, too!

Regards,

Rick
