Remade from a smaller Open Road by Steve Delk some time ago, this has a replaced sweatband. Re-blocking to a larger size has brought about the usual shorter crown height.
Thin ribbon, no damage save a ribbon end needing tacked down. Brim 3", crown 4.25". A really wonderful hat but I find I never wear it and need the space.

$125 Paypal and shipping in the USA.

Offers? I've just moved from a two story, three bedroom house with basement to a one floor, two bedroom house with no storage. There are several hats coming for sale, and probably some suits, pants, coats, etc.

How would you describe the fit? True to size, slightly big, or slightly small?

Great hat at a very fair price!

I’m a 7.5 EXTRA long oval, and this just fits, but a LO would make it more comfortable.

See, before I even looked, I knew you were selling the perfect hat, in the perfect size, and the perfect color. I was right. How did I know?

My hat budget is tapped out, of course! Hope someone buys this soon, before I start looking into what they are paying for plasma these days.

What the heck? Large size, nice vintage hat, open to offers. I'm telling you, I gotta clear shelf space, either by sale or by dumpster.

Scot, what's your head diameter? The size is really what is stopping me.

How so? Too small? Too big? My head is 24 & 1/4" BUT is misshapen. I believe I am the longest oval Art Fawcett has ever built a hat for. Any soft hat, unless oversized, will have a wavy, stretched brim on my head.

Not really sure what size I am. I think I may be a 7 1/2 long oval. Will see. :)

I wasn't concerned about the shape. I'm a long oval, and have many regular ovals that have conformed to my head over time. But 24 1/4" will never work on my 23" head.

    Thanks, though, for responding.

Isn’t 24 1/4 more of a 7 5/8? I’m a 7 5/8 long oval and I hadn’t considered this hat. Are you normally a 7 1/2? I’ve only ever found one 7 1/2 that fit me and I’m certain that hat had been stretched at some point. Now I’m wondering if this could work for me.
