Color me green with envy! I imagine it's a highlight of your life (it would be of mine)?
Well maybe not the highlight but it was pretty darn cool.
Well really I was just worried the whole time I would say something stupid like "I have straycat strut as my ring tone".
Oh my lordy lordy! Thats a fabulous dress...I love it. Welldone!
I havn't been able to get to my sewing machine for months now due to studying. I so miss sewing and wish I could find some time to do just a little bit. I started sewing a 1940's Acadamy dress months ago and its just sitting there looking at me and saying " sew me, sew me"......
Thank you And i know just what you mean! Except i abandoned a project recently after completing the mock up....then went on to make this dress and my Halloween costume lol, i really should get back to the other project however :/
I have another project lined up too and havn't even finished the previous one! Cant wait to see the finished result of your next project
With the cold snap up here in the Midwest, I've switched gears over to wool. A bit more on my blog http://willowhomestead.blogspot.com/2011/10/sewing-with-wool.html
Very cute BoPeep, and i love the wide waistband
BoPeep, that is sooo cute!
Thanks hailey and kamikat. I tend to sew wide waistbands more often than narrower ones. They act like a waist cincher (covering my stretch marks so I can wear cropped tops) and don't tend to "cut in" as the day wears on. Nothing worse than having to open the button on skirt after dinner! lol
hailey- That dress is adorable and clever. I love it.
BoPeep-Beautiful work as always.
You are so talented thedanu. The only thing I can make with out a pattern is a dirndle skirt.
Amazing work from everyone.
I am proud of this dress. I took a ton of pictures of the whole process. I wish the skirt fit better but I'll fix that next time. I think I've lost weight since I made the dress.
Wow, holy cr*p that is one gorgeous dress you've made! Amazing, I love it!
I agree believe it or not it looks even better in person, I saw Miss DPD wearing this at Imelda May and she was a knock out.
Thanks Black Dahlia. I wish I could have spent more time on the bolero but I ran out of time.
Land-O-LakesGal- One day I hope to be able to say more than 3 words to you in person.
Amazing dress!! I wish I had the problem of losing weight I usually have the opposite problem!!!
Wow Bopeep and DPD! Both of your garments are fabulous!
Deadpandiva: Wow! So gorgeous!
Dead Pan Diva - what a wonderful dress and you wear it well. What a knockout! May I ask what pattern you used for this?
