'Shucker, thanks! I have wanted a Super 38 for years and finally decided to pry my wallet open and do it.

Well, I don't post pics of my firearms on the internet but I recently acquired a Springfield Armory TRP.
It is "used" but very well taken care of , just a bit of holster wear. It is an older model that doesn't have an ambi safety, which was a real selling point for me, it seems that so many of the higher end 1911s have ambi safeties with huge diving board sized levers. I like things more streamlined.

They have a very good reputation and this one is doing nothing to tarnish it!
Took it out to the range for the first time last weekend and put about 400 rounds through it and it was flawless. Love this pistol. Gotta get some nice leather to go with it.
I also put about 200 through my Kimber CDPII, that has also been a absolutely flawless pistol.
I run all Wilson mags in both pistols.

I am predominately a wheel gunner but these two guns really make me smile!

Kaiser und Karabine. Seemed proper to start Armistice Day Week with a WW1 rifle. 1918 Erfurt with the 1920 Weimar Republic property mark.[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Upgraded the carry gun yesterday. Star BM 9mm. Kind of a Hi-Power/Combat Commander hybrid.[IMG]

Star were cool guns. Well made and they run forever. Very cool. I've not seen one in many years.

Thanks. The BM (Combat Commander clone with some Hi Power DNA) is pretty widely available just now. @$200-250 most places.

I bought this one a couple days ago for winter carry, a brand new Smith&Wesson M&P 9 M2.0 Compact with a 4" barrel (there is also a 3.6" barrel version). So far I put 600 rounds through it, all flawless. It's an exceptional shooter, though I expected nothing less from S&W.

Yesteryear, those S&W M&Ps and Shields just seem to be boringly reliable. I love my .40 Shield it is my "always" gun.

So I went into the local gun store looking for this:

    IMG_0727.jpeg

And there, sitting forlorn in a case, was this! IMG_0728.jpeg

So what was I supposed to do? I 'needed' the Ruger but a 1948 S&W K-22 Masterpiece? On sale because no-one else wanted it?

Yeah, I got 'em both. And guess which one is the sweeter shooter, huh?
