Bola Ties

I really like them a lot. Thye remind me of my mom's Uncle John the Danish Cowboy of Colorado. My Danish relative are still enamored with Cowboys and Uncle John was the best expression of that. He moved from Denmark to NJ and then on to Colorado. He embraced a lot of the Western Dress and liked all things cowboy. WHen he visited Denmark in his cowboy / western dress, it envariably included the Bola String tie and Stetson Cowboy hat, Uncle John had near celebrlty status. Great man and memories of him include the thunderbird bola tie of silver and turquoise.

I had about ten of them back in my Teddy Boy days. I even had one that was a little silver Colt that slotted into a holster, connected to one another with a tiny chain.

I gave them all to my father-in-law, who enjoys Square Dancing.

I haven't worn them since I worked at my last County Radio Station.
